Weight Training For All
It's Not Just About Big Muscles!
“I don't want to get big muscles!” That's what I often hear when I suggest weight training as a way of losing weight.
You see, many people think of weight training as body building. They're worried that if they pick up some weights they're going to develop huge bulging biceps and a chest like a gorilla!
Nothing could be further from the truth. Body building, weight lifting and weight training are not the same. Body building and weight lifting are sports but weight training is a worthwhile addition to anyone's and everyone's fitness regime.
Did you know it is also an excellent way of burning fat.
It doesn't matter if you're male, female, a sports person or busy mum, young or enjoying your golden years; weight training really is for everyone.
With weight training you can:
- build a toned athletic physique
- burn fat
- develop functional strength
- improve bone density
- build anaerobic fitness
- develop self confidence
More importantly, although it's hard work, it is enjoyable and can be fun. Also when you look good you'll feel good about yourself too. You'll have more self confidence in your day to day life.
There's a great sense of pride and feeling of self worth after pushing yourself to complete a hard workout. I just love the challenge!
So, if you're new or a beginner to weight training I'll point you in the right direction so you'll have everything you need to know before you start working out You'll be armed with all the right information before stepping into the gym.
If you want to build muscle mass and develop real functional strength I'll guide you towards the exercises and routines that'll get you nearer your goal.
A little excess and unwanted fat to burn! Don't worry, weight training is an excellent way of raising metabolism. Muscle mass burns more calories to simply maintain itself. What better way of building the body you really want!
To help the ladies there's a section dedicated to weight training for women. Ladies you can be strong and confident.
And weight training for seniors will keep you active well and truly into old age. More muscle, strength and better bone density will mean you can enjoy your golden years without being plagued with the usual so called aged related conditions.
